Lost All my Clothes at the Laundry Mat
Over the weekend I went to the laundry mat I always go to. I dont live in a very big town and I’m a pretty trustworthy person, so I put my clothes in the washing machine and left for an hour. I returned and like normal all my clothes were clean, but wet. So I put a couple bucks in the dry and threw my clothes in for around half an hour. I got a little side tracked after a left and didnt return to the laundry mat until around 7, two hours after I put my last load in the machine.
Not looking forward to folding all my clothes, I walked over to the dryer and there was nothing there. I didnt panic though, I obviously just forgot which machine I used. So I paced back a forth, checking every dryer in the place. Nothing, nada, Zlich! No clothes. They had even stole my printed laundry bag my mom had just bought for me!!! Are you serious!
The nerve of some people. I hope they enjoy wearing, my shirts, pants and even underwear. JERK!
The Do NOTs of Laundry
There are a ton of articles on the Net explaining how to do your laundry correctly, but only a few that tell you the DO NOTs. These are the things that people do that result in pink shirts or clothes that end up being two sizes too small. So instead of giving you just another how-to list I thought I would switch it up a little and give you a quick list of do-nots to save yourself from yet another disaster in the laundry room.
1. DO NOT mix colors – try and keep whites with whites, light colors with lights and darks with darks. Avoids bleeding
2. DO NOT over-fill the machine – avoid putting too many clothes in the washer/dryer. This can result in a bad wash or taking twice as long to dry your clothes
3. DO NOT forget to check the lint trap – this can result in your clothes not drying or even a fire depending on how bad the situation is
4. DO NOT forget about your clothes – If you leave you clothes in the wash for too long be ready to re-wash them because they will start to stink if you dont throw them in the dryer right away. And if you forget about the dryer you could end up with shrinkage or wrinkles
5. DO NOT add too much soap – Ever seen a movie where the kids put a whole box of laundry soap in and the room becomes a huge bubble bath? Well, that may not happen but too much soap is never a good thing.
So next time you grab your laundry bag and head to the mat, remember the DO NOTs of laundry.
Cant find your Fix of Laundry on the Net?
There are plenty of tips and tricks to doing your laundry posted all over the Internet. There are all sorts of products, from laundry bags, detergents, dryer sheets but there isnt much of a forum for people who either need help with their laundry or actually know the chore. Then I stumbled upon this site, Project Laundry List.
“Project Laundry List leads the air-drying and cold-water washing revolution. We provide the premier online source for information about these and other simple, effective ways to save energy and money.”
Its worth checking out and I am on big on this site as Blue Soda Promo.

Cool Printed Laundry Bags
Cool and laundry are not two words that usually go together, but with just a little creativity companies have found a way to spice up these laundry bags and make people crack a smile while doing one of the more gruesome chores. Printed laundry bags have a large surface area so there is a lot of room to work with and your creativity wont be altered. They are a good marketing chip for companies as well.
